Responsibilities consist of calling patients to exam room to perform the work-up process to include patient history, refracting and tonometry.
Expert knowledge of the following equipment is essential:
auto refractor, phoropter, tonometer, pachymeter, and reading spectacles.
Responsibilities also include diagnostic testing as assigned by the physician (IOL Master, OCT, Visual Field).
Certification in ophthalmic assisting preferred, but not required.
One to two years experience in ophthalmology desired.
The team player we're seeking must exemplify exceptional patient care and customer service, strive for excellence while performing clinical examinations, and be proficient in electronic health records.
